A special thanks to George Williams for all his work on these images.

The original picture was of a Whit Week Walk along Kersal Way in the early 1970s. The modern picture was taken on the 14th July 2013. This clearly shows how much the area has deteriorated. Roll your mouse over the image to see the original image.

The original picture is of the shops and Spencer House taken in 1964. This is mixed with a picture of the same spot from 2009. Roll your mouse over the image to see the original image.

The older image here was a picture taken on the 12th February 1960 during construction. The new image was taken in 2009. Roll your mouse over the image to see the original image.

An old picture of a Whit Walk march on Kersal Way is mixed with a picture from 2009. Alan Bellamy is the boy in red shorts and the boy in black shorts to the left of the basket is Graham Smethurst. The girls carrying the basket are from left to right Gaynor Thomas, Angela Bailey and Tracy O'Dell. Roll your mouse over the image to see the original image.
