Christopher Bird, Herbert Randle (grandfather), and Paul Bird on Kersal Dale around 1981. Roll your mouse over the image to see this spot in March 2009 (28 years later)

A cracking picture taken of Grace Randle (Paul Bird's grandmother) with Brownie on the dirt track which led from South Radford Street to Radford Street (the track across Kersal Dale). In the background you can see Chaucer Court and John Bacon Court would have been to the left. Roll your mouse over the image to see the same spot in 2009.

Another photograph of Grace Randle on the grace between Shakespeare and Shelley House with Brownie the dog. In the background you can see a period van and the bungalows on Kersal Dale. Roll your mouse over the image to see this spot today

Herbert Randle cuts a birthday cake in 1976 and through the window you can see Shelley House.

Paul and Christoper Bird play football on the grass between Shelley House and Shakespeare House. This is probably in the early 1980s. You can see the "new trees" on the edge of Kersal Dale which were absent in the picture immediately above. Roll your mouse over the image for the same spot in March 2009 almost 30 years later

A picture of Lesley Randle (mother of Paul and Christopher) taken on the verandah of 98 Shakespeare House. You can see the greenkeepers bungalow in the background and St. Pauls on the hill

Grace Randle (far left) and Hannah Bebbington (send from the right) and others on the verandah of 98 Shakespeare House with bunting and flags to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth the II on 7th June 1977

Another view of the decorated balconies from the ground beneath Shakespeare House.

Grace Randle holding Allison Bird with Susan Jordan. In the background you can see Shelley House.

The same again with the addition of Peter Jordon.

Another family shot on the verandah of 98 Shakespeare with Browning House, and Keats Court in the background. Lesley Randle is the lady on the right. This shot is from sometime in the 1960s

A final family shot this time with the Kersal Dale in the background. Here Lesley Randle is on the left at the back of the picture. Elaine Whitelaw is on the right at the back of this picture taken around 1960/1.
