A couple of wide angled views of the demolition from Kersal Dale.

A few pictures of the demolition of Jonson House. Note the defiant lift shaft in the second photograph.

A few pictures of the demolition of Milton House. It perhaps indicates the shoddy nature of the flat building that such large structures left such small piles of rubble.

The following four images were provided by Craig Barrington.

A view of the demolition from Oaklands Road

A picture taken from the junction of Kersal Way and South Radford Street. You can see the rubble of John Bacon Court to the left, and that Cowper House is still standing to the right.

Another view of the rubble of John Bacon Court. To the left you can see Shelley House, and Burns House in the distance. The remains of Browning lie in the middle of Kersal Way. Again it is amazing that such large structures left behind such small piles of rubble.

A forlorn view of Craig Barrington (right) looking at the remains of Keats Court and Cowper House and Burns House beyond. A clear sign that an era has ended.

Brad and Steve Barrington on South Radford Street on the day that the flats came down.

A final pile of rubble under which is buried 30 years of local history. The last remains of three decades of the community history of 750 or so flats.
